What is it?
Thyroid nodule is a lump that is found in the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is located on the front of the neck. Almost all thyroid nodules are benign (non cancerous) and do not cause symptoms.
What are the symptoms?
The symptoms of thyroid nodule include:
- Lump over the middle portion of the neck which may be soft or hard.
- Difficulty swallowing.
- Unexplained weight loss.
- Tremor.
- Heart palpitations.
