What is it?
Schizophrenia is a serious mental condition where the affected person has, among other symptoms, periods of psychosis. During a psychosis a person has an abnormal perception of reality.
What are the symptoms?
Schizophrenia manifests as:
- Hallucinations or hearing or seeing something that is not real.
- Delusions or believing something that can be proven to be untrue.
- Confused thoughts.
- Disorganized thinking.
- Appear to lack emotions.
- Neglect personal hygiene.
- Speaks in monotone.
